What happens when we try to recreate reality using only images found on the internet?
Born from an intrigue with photogrammetry technologies and an interest in the ways in which social media impact our perception of physical spaces, these experiments attempt to reconstruct popular and historic Melbourne venues from their digital footprint alone.
The resulting forms bring into question the influence of digital photography and social media on the perception and occupation of the city. They uncover new realities of facadism and psychogeography. They also celebrate the possibility of new forms of digital architecture and heritage.
