This pavilion functions to benefit the local ecosystem within the Queen Victoria Garden. Named after the Leafcutter Bee, a type of Australian native bee, the Leafcutter Pavilion aims to ameliorate native bee pollination in the Garden. It seeks to educate visitors to the Garden about the importance of native bee populations through tree and leaf-inspired forms and patterns.
